Local high school graduates receive scholarships at pageant
The DIVA (Divinely Inspired Virtuous Angels) Association of Kingsville Inc. is having the 13th Annual DIVA Scholarship Pageant, which raises money to support educational efforts of youth in our region.
The association has awarded over 200, $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have been accepted into college, university, training center, or a certificate program. Pageants are designed as fundraisers where contestants raise money for scholarships. The contestants who raise the most money are the winners. Winners are not known until the night of the pageant when the funds are tallied by the judge.
The DIVA Association of Kingsville is an 501(C)3 nonprofit organization that assists young minds to become successful in our community and sponsors the Mini Me DIVA/ DEVO, Junior Miss DIVA, Ms. DIVA, Mr. DEVO, Junior DEVO Scholarship Pageants in June.
Our motto is "Once a Diva, Always a Diva" and our vision is to continue "Encouraging Young Minds Continue Their Education.''
